It provides high-quality images which help in diagnosing medical conditions swiftly. It is safer and faster than a traditional X-ray and exposure to radiation is relatively lesser.

Is it safe?
Since it involves radiation, it is unsafe for pregnant women. Please inform the technician if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.
When is the report expected?
The film is handed over to the patient within half an hour of the scan. The report can be expected within 2 hours.
